fuck these devils for killing this man
I had to delete that last reblog because it was just that shitty
one man wu… ya best protect ya neck.
This is one of the only times you will ever see me cosign anyone doing rap covers. I fucking despise those bullshit ass indie rock rap covers. I don’t find anything cute or amusing about it, if anything it’s insulting. But this works, dude doesn’t mock it and brings the grime. When the Wu lost that grime, that’s when they fell off. That shit made them and they forgot it. Fuck solo records as a unit they thrived on the dust and the shit, it’s what made them stand out in 1993 and ultimately what I miss the most about them.

Ice-T – “The Tower” (Sire, 1991)
Tumblr Challenge: Reblog and add another rap song that samples John Carpenter’s Halloween theme. I’m starting here with the obvious (and I think the earliest?) but I want to hear some super secret tape only Memphis shit before the end of the day. @Beerandrap I’m looking in your direction. #halloweenrapps
yes I know halloween was a minute ago but I just remembered this joint right now. they slowed the theme down and brought in some death buzz for bass
I’m still salty he didn’t win scribble for his Centaur routine, that shit was amazing.

Honestly I went back and forth for like 10 minutes trying to decide whether to post this or the Dopeman/NWA blend. This mix is so goddamn dope, so many props to Twankle & Glisten (RIP) for ripping this shit back in ‘08. It’s part of why I’m posting it. People really need to hear how great this tape is and realize that compared to whatever bullshit ass dance remix these fucking ableton ravers make of rap songs it doesn’t sound better than a fucking RAP REMIX OF A GODDAMN RAP SONG. Your bullshit is an excuse to play rap to dance people. I don’t give a fuck about that, I want to listen to rap music not some fucking compromise.
I mean there is a fucking reason this mixtape has been in my phone for over 2 years, that’s how nice it is. I can’t bring myself to take it out of the rotation. Given the playlist has so many choice cuts that win on their own merit with me but the blends just take it to the next level of fun.
Fortunately the link to it is still live so you’re highly advised to peep game. If you like classic gangster rap you really can’t be disappointed by this.
DJ Jelly & MC Assault Lay It Down: Old Dirty South Mix
Oomp Camp elevating the mixtape to another level. The Bass Game series is off the hook for sure, but these old school Gangsta mixes are a personal favorite. They never reach the point of over-saturation but still give you the feeling of being 5 places at once. They also seem to reinvigorate raps that don’t seem as hard now as they must have when they first dropped. Don’t know much about their mix DVDs, though, holler if you do.
